| Hey everybody, we've got 11+ cars and 20+ people registered so far! If you haven't sent in your registration, please do so soon as it is very helpful when Mike and I buy supplies!
NOTE: When you send paypal, if you can send it as a personal payment or a gift, that would best, because I am not selling/shipping anything to you nor am I a business or non-profit. Paypal's fees are adding up, so if I refund your payment and ask you to resubmit under a different purpose, please bear with me. Thank you for your patience!

Registration pays for your lunch and for the costs of drinks and whatnots throughout the day. Nick, don't gripe, just register and enjoy the day. I don't like whatnots,. Nick

| I'm sorry, I should have been more clear than "whatnots."
Your registration pays for: 1. $150 fee it costs us to reserve the pavillion at the park. 2. $50-100 in water, sodas and ice that Mike and I put in our coolers for everyone during the day (yes, it's that much - based on what it cost us last year). 3. Your lunch. 4. Nametags, raffle tickets, schedules, cruise maps, voting ballots, and other stationary.
200OZ and I went through the numbers very very carefully and set the prices as low as we absolutely could. In case you'd like to know, enough money came in last year through registration and raffles to cover park fee, food/drinks for lunch, stationary, and a few bucks to help offset Tim's costs for the clock. That was it, and that was with 45 cars. I'm not expecting nearly that many cars this year. I'm also counting on the raffle to cover the costs of the childrens' lunch & dinner and make up any shortfall if we don't get enough in registrations to cover the fixed costs.
So, now you know the whole story, and why registering is not only helpful, but it's the polite thing to do.

| $20 gets you and the wagon in and pays for your lunch. Diane's lunch is $5 and we're not charging for kids. If you want to partake of the dinner we're ordering, that'd be $12 for the two of you (again, kids are no charge).
So $37 for the whole day, or $25 if you want to bring your own dinner.
Look Nick, I'm not going to cajole or negotiate - you're a smart man and you can figure things out. The planning is all done, after Mike and I looked at tons of options and pricing. It is what it is, and that's that. Either come or don't come, but if you come, be a man and pre-register like everybody else has; don't just show up without paying and lurk like last year. Either be in or be out.

| Looks like I'm out for WF . I've run into some financial issues that take precedence over fest and I don't think I canafford both. I'll be playing it by ear right until the registration cut off, but for now its not looking good. For the folks I have been in contact with parts, I'm going to try and PM everyone and work something out and hopefully get them home and money in your pockets. | |

That sucks! Was looking forward to seeing your de-wooded wagon and all the mods you did. Seneca Lake park is going to be a ghost town this July 30th. What do we have? 11 cars? I'm still going to have a fun time hanging out with everyone. Can't wait! Got my OCC ready and back on the road, working on a laundry list of mods and an axle oil change. Just finished my trashed picked Nissan fan mod.

| Oh I think we'll get 20 cars there, and 20 wagons is pretty cool.
Well I'm pleased to say that work has commenced on my wagon and it's off to a good start. New brakes and wheels/tires. Syracuse winters are TERRIBLE on the inside edges of rotors! On the flip side, I now use a wrench in one hand and spraypaint in the other. That's how you work on cars in Syracuse - fix it, degrease it, paint it. Done.
BBQ paint works wonders on rotors though - I used it on a set of rotors that I put on the wagon last summer and it did a great job stopping and slowing corrosion on the non-swept surfaces. I just spraypaint the whole rotor and then put it on, then go for a ride.
Next up, steering, trim, polish everything, replace some rubber strips. Clean interior.

| Almost done with my car.... mechanically anyway. Exhaust manifold gaskets, new hoses, new hose clamps on every hose under the hood (little more involved than I thought), coolant flush, a/c compressor, lines, receiver/dryer, RM steering column sensor cleaning, cleaned and/or painted all related and unrelated parts (OCD), and ota pipes.

| Nick ," free chance tickets" means that if you preregistered for it you paid the individual amount for the Glen. Now that we have enough people, we get the group rate instead, which is less.
The difference in funds is returned to us by tickets for the chance auction, not in cash. This point was posted in the original Watkins Glen Thread and should not come as a surprise to anyone preregistered.
I don't see your name on the preregistered list as of 07/23/11 7:00am. Your comment sees to indicate that you are coming. If so, we need to get the food situation accurate, and assess proper charges accordingly. Please contact Joel immediately so we know how many, and for proper payment ahead of time.
from the event info thread:
"$25 per car for the Friday Watkins Glen activity. If we get 10 or more cars registered, this cost drops to $15 so you get 10 free auction tickets! If the event gets cancelled, your money will be refunded. Again, need a headcount so we can make final preparations."

Honestly the forecasters around here have not been very good any more than three days out. Supposedly Saturday is going to be sunny and 87. Remember, WF will be rain or shine. The pavillion has enough room for everyone. The nice thing about the park is that there's always a breeze coming in off the lake and there's lots of shade around, so even if it's hot, it won't be too hot.

| Hey everybody! We had a flurry of registrations over the last 36 hours and now have 27 cars signed up! And Nick is in! Everyone give Nick a hug when you see him. Haha.
As you may be watching, as of right now Friday is calling for scattered showers. 200OZ is contacting the track to see what the rain policy is. The easy part: If we cancel, you will get all of your track money refunded at the fest. The hard part: figuring out what we do if the rain isn't steady. We'll let you know soon. In the mean time, if you're the praying type, pray for no rain on Friday & Saturday!
