| Hi - I'm John from GA - 68GS400 I have two Buicks and a Dodge. 68 BUick GS 400, 89 Buick LeSabre wagon and 2004 Dodge Ram AWD tow vehicle. The GS is a convertible muscle car that I have driven on Hot Rod Power Tour five times. The Estate wagon is being rebuilt to use on future HRPT evants and cruisin with grandson! I look forward to the advice available from other members of this forum | |

| BTW - this is third GM wagon for me: '79 Buick - 6.6L (403 Olds) engine, beige with dark bronze side stripe similar to wood location; Electra Estate wagon, unique 'child proof interior (Electra velour seats in front, vinyl on others), trans failure and body rust at 140K ended it '86 Olds Custom Cruiser burgundy with red interior; 5L Buick engine (a dog of a car- probably lowest HP of all) blown head gasket at 130K did it in '89 Buick LeSabre - blue with light wood grain (failing / peeling) dark blue interior; 5L (307 Olds) 200,000 miles but previous owner replaced engine with remanufactured @ 130K | |

| Hey John
Welcome aboard! Lot of good guys and gals here. We all have something to share, and with the cars you have had, I know you do also. I will be down your neck of the wood in about 10 days. My son is getting married in Atlanta. Hoping for sub 90 degree weather, although everything is AC, so it doesn't matter too much.

| Welcome! I like those old box-style wagons, I'd love to find a nice woodgrained '80s Safari someday. Do you have any pics of your LeSabre wagon? We'd all love to see it. | |

| Welcome! I really like the boxy wagons still. Grew up in a 78 Grand Safari and an 86 Electra Estate, and drove an 89 Custom Cruiser for years. Post pics when you can.
Glad you found the forum!

| One of my first cars was a light green 68 Skylark Custom 4dr hardtop. Black vinyl top and black vinyl interior. It was a 350 with a powerglide. Bondo on the lower body...thanks New Jersey salt, but it always ran great and the interior was perfect. I miss that car. I still think the rear bumper/tail light design was one of the coolest ever. Looked so neat at night from the rear.
Love to see pics of your GS!!

| Mike, My GS is a native Jersey car too. When I did the initial resto in the late 80's it needed driver's side floor pan front to back and half the trunk floor replaced. There were also prior repairs to the bottoms of the fenders & quarters. Damn salt! | |

| Texas Mike, you miss all of your old cars. The advantage you have over most is you have a couple hundred pics of every vehicle that you have ever owned! That and total recall! Jim PS Welcome again John to the group and with 5 HRPT under your belt you will probably be offering help a lot more than needing help. |

| I do not miss my 1983 Isuzu I-Mark that my science teacher in high school gave me. What a turd....traded it for a 79 Bonneville Brougham.
I do not miss my 88K miles '94 Ford Aerostar that I bought from a customer for $100 with a blown water pump. Two engines, one transmission, full a/c replacement, and on and on and on....what a HUGE turd, traded it for my '89 Olds Custom Cruiser.
The rest I do miss.....yep. | |
