| Along with Mike and Tim for taking care of this event, BUT Especially Joel due to the fact that he did a lot of leg work on this and didn't get to enjoy it. So I wanted to have a seperate thread just for Joel. THANK YOU JOEL! | |

| Indeed, Thanks go out to Joel in particular for doing so much, but not getting to enjoy the fruits of his own labors.
HEY JOEL... I kept the volume down!
Hope you are feeling better... Next time instead of battered shrimp, try the bearded clam.

| Joel: helping to plan Wagonfest and teaching everyone not to order seafood. But seriously, thanks for all you did to help WF '11 and I'm sorry you couldn't be there to have seen it. | |

| Sorry I crapped out on you guys but my day just went down the toilet from the moment I got up. Okay, enough with the puns... Hey everybody, I am feeling better. Yes, stay away from the shrimp at Mac's. I enjoy seafood and have a hard time turning it down when my wife isn't around because she's not a fan. And you know, a number of you warned me "be careful what you eat at Mac's." Dumb choice on my part. All day I kept trying to pull myself off the couch but everytime I went to get my shoes on or pack up a car part for somebody my stomach said NO. As the morning wore on I felt myself getting dehydrated. Doug F. (the tattoo'd guitar player who works in the medical field) recommended I get some Gatorade G2 to try to rehydrate and so my wife picked up some and I was able to sip it in. Unfortunately by evening time I was feeling better but still so weak that just wasn't going to happen. I tried playing trains with the kids on the family room floor as a test but couldn't do it for more than 10 minutes at a time. You have no idea how sad it was to be totally laid out only an hour away from something I'd been looking forward to for months! If I may: 1. I'd like to thank Mike L. for picking up the slack. Additionally, running the meals is honestly probably the most involved part of the get-together. He also came up with the Watkins Glen idea, and I'd do that again in a heartbeat. He also got the schweet schwag that went into the chance auction. Mike, thank you! 2. I would like to publicly thank Doug F. (the tattoo'd guitar player) for stopping by and picking all of the meal money and paperwork and taking it out to the fest in the morning. Doug, that was a HUGE help. Thanks everybody for coming and participating. | |

| Thanks again Joel, all the work, and none of the play... Next year it's a steady diet of dry toast for the last few days before the Fest. I also want to thank a few others as well, John aka Bewber for the WF shirts this year, GREAT job, you've got the job for next year too if you want it. My wonderful wife, aka Michelle, for all the shopping, cooking, registration, set up and putting up with all of the other WF stuff so I can have fun, and clean up my car for the fest. Tim, aka BigBlackBeaSSt, and his wife, aka Lisa for all the help with registration, set up, ice and food runs, auction, and awards. Dave, aka lakeffect, for bringing the sound system. Oh, and the beer trade. Mike P. aka DeBeaSSt, for food runs, and all the help cleaning up after the fest, while I was no were to be found. To the rest who helped clean up as well, John, aka Motorhead79, and Justin, aka Cadet57. John aka Motorhead79, for the trophies.... even mine. If I forgot anyone, sorry. Mike, aka 200OZ

| Which one is you?
Keep in mind Mike won Best Sedan with a Chevy van. Maybe next time we should just say "non-wagon" on the trophy, as no sedans actually showed up. I voted for the old geezer guy driving the golf cart.

... because they got the most votes, as voted by their fellow wagonfestering folks! Luckily I was totally without scruples or moral value and voted for myself or Tim's "Not a Hot Rod or a Pot rod" would have won instead. I would suspect there should already be pics of every winner including Mike's van in one of the two existing photo threads. Page one of this thread https://gmlongroof.4umer.com/t4423-wagonfest-new-york-2011-photos here's one: here's "not a wagon " winner: Interior winner:
