EDIT: The Impala tunnel had a small outgoing dent in it. pushed it back out and it went away. Do you have a picture of the location of the removed dent? Was it there originally, or an "accident" dent? | |

| No photo, it was a very smooth rolling hump in the floor pan. It was likely there from new (hardly noticeable). I tapped it out with a block of wood. | |

| I got an SSR shaft, changed the slip yoke to 27 spline, looks like suspension articulation will be limited. Is it necessary to relief grind the slip yoke? | |

Did you measure the over all length of the two driveshafts? That would give you the answer. | |

I bought one for my t56 swap and found out the hard way the SSR DS came in two lengths, one for auto and one for manual. One is the same as our stock DS, the other one is a little too long. Guess which one I bought.... $250 later I had it shortened to the proper 54.99 and it fits like a glove. (Sadly the car was totaled, so now it's in the garage with the T56 waiting for another turn at glory). just looked at mine and the sticker says AUTO in the upper left. number 15247556 on it and a big PR3 under that. it was about .5 inch too long | |
