| There was a good car show in the Wendy's parking lot across the street my my office at Dell tonight. Odd location but a good show! It started at 5pm and ran until 10pm, but I didn't go until 9pm...so who knows what I missed. It was 108 degrees today...tomorrow is supposed to be 110...hottest day of the year so far, so I didn't want to go until after dark....when it cooled down to 99...ha! Anyway the oldest kiddo and I took the 79 Buick and caught the last hour of the show. Had a good time despite the heat, and got some good comments on the Electra and it's new exhaust. Eddie took most of the pics...sorry they are not better but you'll get the idea. Fun night! -Mike Arriving at the show....chrome duals burbling... Cool old Plymouth and toys!! | That's a pretty nice showing for what seems to be a spur of the moment thing. Should have backed in and put your hood up or something! Love the year of manufacture plates on some of those cars. This is the last 2 days you can do that with Classic registration. From September 1st on you can only do it with the restrictive Antique registrations and not be ale to drive daily. I'm going in later this morning with these and a '76 sticker (to cover the '84) for my Torino: Wife's name is Amy. She bid on the thing for me on eBay 3 years ago this Sunday. About time I put her name on it, right?!! | |

| I would pay good money to hear that SBC running and going down the road.Bet it sounds hilarious with a blower mounted on a tunnel ram and 6 1 barrel carbs sitting on top.Lots of nice cars showed up.And now onto the important items, find a better picture of the leggy lady standing behind the chevy II besides Wendys. | Wichita has loads of these little parking lot shows each summer, at fast food places or small shopping centers. No formal entry; you just show up and grab a space. I think the business owners are happy with the traffic it draws as long as everyone behaves and the police are happy. Many of them are every Friday or Saturday night, all summer long. Great cheap fun! | |
