Getting ready to replace Grimace's headliner and wonder what some others have done. I can go to Jo-Anns and buy black, grey, or tan headliner fabric, but that's so....plain.
I recall someone doing a paisley deal........but that's not me either. Was thinking of a carbon fiber look, but there is an acre of real estate up there...... I did see purple fleece today but I'm thinking about a design or pattern If they had purple and silver flames I woulda been done in a hurry, lol.
Now accepting ideas.....

Would be neat if you could find a fabric with a surfing scene or get someone to airbrush a bunch of our wagons all lined up.Think we have a guy here that could do that for you. Jim

Just make sure you get ALL of the old glue and foam off the board. Mom had to do the headliner in her Caprice twice. She used the JoAnn's foam-backed fabric, btw. The second time, a wire pet brush was used, and then a DA sander. Worked perfectly.
For you... I think you need to find a nice surf scene!

I did see a few yesterday that looked nice, but with fabric I will have to sew it together as the width is usually 36 inches.
I was also thinking of a button tuck, but that's alot more work than I have time for

Nah... that might come off as too gaudy.

So now the big question....what color? Currently dark maple interior soon to have grey cloth caprice seats. Thinking about doing the tops of the door panels over with the print too....I'm guess lighter to tie in with the seats.
But do I go greyish or purple????? thought about red too...

If you can work on cars, you can sew a seam. I had never used a sewing machine, and I did some blackout liners on my drapes for my huge picture window in my front room.
