| I tried to talk her in to letting me black out the trim. She said she wants to try rubbing compound but i highly dought it will make a differnce. Im thinking ill black it out anyway because i want to get the smoked window visors, Im tired of not being able to crack the window in the rain. Would like to find the in channel ones. im thinking smoked head/tailights will look good with the paint also. | |

| Definitly go with the window channel style.I had the tape ons for years on my OCC until 1 day the passenger side dropped off.The in channels look better to me personally as well. |

| Ok so went to maaco this morning said its not his problem refused to fix the wheel well where it was chipping and the mirrors since i did not want them to do my doorjams. i wouldnt let them touch my car again with a 10 foot pole. he gave me my 500 for the doorjams back and i went to walmart and bought a real camera. going to upload some good photos of my car now.and because the Maaco corperate office wants to see pictures might get some more money back.uploading pics of new camera to my mothers laptop. its going to take me a little bit to figure out. | |

| Wow, looks like they scuffed it with 60 grit! Holy crap. And a blind dude taped it... You gotta be careful with MAACO's... Look at their finished work. And request the painter that did any good work that came out of there.
That said, it looks pretty decent. I like the color!
Jamb it with rustoleum satin black brush and spray. It'll take you a day or two, but it'll look nice.
Don't black out the belt line trim, you'll be sorry!

| Should have got a group 78 optima, not the 75/25. Same price, more CCA.
Both are good though.
Looks decent - better than it did before at least. Hope Maaco corporate helps you out. |

| Hate to mention this,... if they were that lack luster about sanding it right, your going to have paint peeling out of every groove around the door handles and key holes. Truly sucks. | |

| What a pitiful deal! Amazing they were that sloppy when sanding the car down. I for sure would send it to the corporate offices. For $1300, if they did that to my car I'd be livid. | |

| Hope you get it figured out. for future paint work: talk to the collision repair places in town first, they will know who is good and who sucks, down to which franchises do good work and which ones don't :-) | |

| Rear speakers are 6x9s, fronts are probably 6.5's for your Roadmaster. |

| I really like the color. It's too bad they messed things up. The window moldings will look good blacked out. Maybe paint the door handles body color like the OCC has. | |

| Wow. I really like the color. I sorry they screwed up your trim and such. I hope things will work out in the end with corp. I'd keep fighting it until i got the car fixed up right, especially the trim.

| so no luck with corp finally gave up so i could do stuff myself. still working on the petty things. found a sparkle blue paint almost the same color and did the drivers side door jambs looked good till it dried turned a wierd purple in areas????????? took off all the black sill plates and vents, latches painted chrome. waxed it up and realised that my chrome luggage rack was installed backwards. its a working progress had to put stuff on hold couse the wife wanted the windows tinted before it gets any hotter so its going in the shop tomorrow morning. went to ten diiferent tint shops. 1 person out of ten actually tok the time to measure all windows and siad about unbolting the wings to do it right. Alitle expensive a 250 but i liked how he conducted the estement. as for pics ill try to post some l8ter today. | |

| Wow, looks good! The chrome really goes well with that blue. And your wife is right, it needs tint. I always thought that tinted lights and clear windows looked a little bizarre (I had mine like that for a bit). What % are you gunna go on the tint? One thing to remember: this car has very large windows, and lots of them. Lots of light gets let into the interior. This will make the tint, especially on the front 2 windows, appear lighter than it actually is. You also have a dark interior which works in the other direction, making the tint appear darker. I think it'll look killer with some 20% tint | |

| Yeah. You guys have recurring inspections too, so I can see why you'd want to do that. No sense in spending $250 on a tint job if they're just gunna make you take it off every 2 years. I've had my car tinted twice because I got a ticket for having it too dark, and had to take it off. When I went back to get it redone, I got a darker film. The point being, if you're gunna get illegal tint, it might as well be dark | |
