Any other circumstance, and I'm with Nick. Classes? What classes? There's a paint shop to get to!
Hell, if I didn't have to meet someone on Sunday, I'd be extending my break by a day or so next week too. :p |

| WARNING explicit language ok so robyn took a cab to pick up the wagon today while i was at work. just got a call on my way home 1300 and some one "FORGOT" to write on the work order that the doorjams get painted. ARE U FN KIDDING ME??????? but they wanted the money. so she flipped out on them. they said we have two options 1-Leave the car and the $500 and pick up the car tuesday. 2-take car home and bring back monday morning but it will be $1000 instead of $500 WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So we go car less over the weekend or ive got to pay for there fuckup???????? i told robyn to let me talk to the man on the phone and i lost it flat out went insane over the phone. so now shes on her way home with it and take it back monday. still 500 bucks. I told them they should be free since its there **** up but they wont do that. Will post picks when she pulls in. Also sorry for the language i am very very mad at this point | |

| They would have had to call the cops on me. Just saying. Thats a poor way to run a business. I'd have paid them the 1300 less the 500 they charged you for the door jambs and drove off the lot. | |

| If the paint is peeling, the chrome is damaged, they messed up the order, and want to charge you MORE, then I say screw them. See what you can do about getting your money back (talk to a lawyer) and then take your business elsewhere. It won't be worth it to go back to them if this is how it's going to be. Good luck. | |

| If you paid by credit card, you have leverage! Call the number on the back of the card and tell them the story (be civil and friendly). They will tell you what you have to do to show a "good faith" effort, and if you follow through, you will get your money refunded. | |

| Sure is a beautiful blue color you guys chose.Know its hard right now but wait until monday and give Maaco a chance to make it right.Dont start reattaching anything until they see the mistakes otherwise you can get blamed for the damage.1300 bucks is a ton of money but these are huge cars.I have a close friend who owns a bodyshop and he quoted me 2500 for a repaint in the original color on my OCC.Enjoy your weekend and enjoy your beautiful wagon. |

| The trick to using maaco, is to do as much prep,. trim removal, and taping as you can,.
For the price the car will look pretty decent when you have it back together,. overspray on the tires is a simple rub down with thinners,. I,d ask maaco for some touch up paint, and buy yourself a very small touch up gun, and fix the little parts yourself,.
NO maaco paint job is going to stand up to scrutiny, they are what they are, they provide an affordable alternative to driving around with a rough looking vehicle,.
My black wagon is a as straight as a die (the parts that aren't bent from the tire pile incident,.) It,s gonna cost me $3500 to get it repainted black , but it,'ll look good when its done,.
Nice color on your car, it'll look great with the trim back on, are you going to polish the trim?

to fix scratched stainless is a bear,. it needs to be sanded and then polished,. chrome pieces need to be re-chromed,. an alternative is to use heavy primer, really fine prep then paint with a chrome paint, it'll stand up to 10ft inspections,. Most folks see your car driving along the road,. and if it looks good at 30mph on a wet day,. it,s all good! I had a 68 coougar XR7 with a 390 gt motor in it,. it was priginally a dark green with a black roof, typical ford it was getting lighter by the minute as i drove over bumps,.so i plugged it with 3-4 cans of short hair glass, and bondo, gave it a bright yellow bumble bee type paint job with black stripes, and had a guy chase me down to buy it, he was so suprised when i showed him inside the trunk, all the tin, fibreglass and bondo,.he had seen the car around and thought it was awesome, He did buy it, but a couple of years later it had dissolved to the point it was almost unrepairable, butnif you pulled up next to it at a light it looked great! for a ford. | Once you get the trim back on it'll look tons better. If it was me I'd look around for some wood decal/wrap and re-wood it. It's be a knockout re-wooded and re-trimmed with that dark blue paint.
I've had a couple of cars done at Maaco, and I agree, it's all in the pret work and how much you take off before dropping it with them.
I will say it looks TONS better than your before pics!

| i cant really afford the wood grain unless maaco gives me some of the money back i had a couple ideas of different vynle decals. 1-blue urban digital camo where the grain was and rename her URBAN WARFARE 2-get white airbrushed lihtning where the grain was rename her THUNDERSTRUCK 3-save up get custom made vinyl of a paint rip with wood grain showing through havnt figured out a name for it though | |

| Are you tinting the windows? If so you can get the 3M black trim tape the Impala SS guys use..cover all the window trim. I think it would look nice with the tint. | |

| Talk the wife into blacking out the trim like "Brokecello"suggested.Dont think I would do anything until you settle with Macco,They will blame you for all undocumented damage. You are not their first dissatisfied customer and their lawyers have tons of expierience with dissatisfied clients. Wagon looks great in your pics by the way so stay positive.Stop looking for whats wrong and look for whats appealing for now.Admire your dedication to your wagon and getting so much done in such a short period of time. Now PAT each other on the back OR front and see what happens! |
