| I saw that add yesterday and was seriously considering the trade but I didn't think he would want a white painted over burgundy hood. I hope the trade works out for you. | |

| Well...since I have to get the hood painted...I thought I'd dig out that old rollpan I've had sitting around for a few years. I know it's a love/hate thing with folks, but I like them. I will fit a steel bar to bolt on and run between the bumper shocks for extra measure. Need to get my tips moved back! Lol. Also drilled all my holes for the center pins and also the chrome trim under the taillights. | |

| Still trying to get with the body guy...he is busy and I am busy Hoping to get it there Sat morning! On a side note, I can't really cut into the pan and tuck my tips up too far UNLESS I remove the bumper shocks. I don't want to do that since I'm gonna bolt a steel bar to them. I will just move them back for now (but I invision something a little slicker down the road...) Chris | |

| Well, took the wagon to the exhaust shop before they closed today. Tips are tucked back now. Please ignore my 2 extra belt trim holes on the driver's side rollpan (*cough*) Those will be erased soon. Taking the wagon to the bodyshop tomorrow morning! Chris | |

| Lol...well 2 things I never do on these wagons 1. Use the rear wiper 2. Stand on the rear bumper
hahaha! I have a lil step ladder I use for detailing/washing.
Dropped it off at the bodyshop. We will see how it goes...Told him to cheat on the rollpan if the hood ended up using most of my budget.

| Boy it looks nice Chris. De-wooding, although I really like a clean DGGM car, would make it look like many other cars. You have a VERY nice looking car that is YOUR creation, like non-other.
One little thing that I did to improve the grill is to get a Estes Model paint marker and color the tabs on the grill, it helps to make them disappear.

My 24" x 50 ft roll cost $110 shipped EMS (ordered it on Friday night and I had it in my hands today..from Hong Kong) Here you go. I will say that I dont garage the wagon (cover it though) and the wood has held up pretty well. I have some shrinking in spots...but still happy based on the price and effort. If I did it again, I would at least get a quote from a vinyl shop. Chris

Chris Seller does not ship to Canada, damn. I'll probably wind up getting it from a local vinyl shop, and installing it myself as I'm pretty DIY. Thanks! Nice times BTW!

| Took the cover off yesterday and fired it up for the first time since Thanksgiving. Also put the Ridlers back on for Daytona!! Getting excited!! The woodgrain is showing its age...especially since it sits outside. I am planning my next thing with it. Got some serious inspiration from kadonte. | |

My 24" x 50 ft roll cost $110 shipped EMS (ordered it on Friday night and I had it in my hands today..from Hong Kong) Well, it's been a touch over 2 years....and I uncovered the wagon this morning (been sitting for a while) and saw a door panel is starting to fail. I hate it sits outside all the time. I keep it covered, but anyhow...you get what you pay for. The 3M stuff will cost about $600 or so to do, so now I need to decide if I buy more cheap stuff and replace a panel or two...or let it go until I can pay the bigger bucks. OR...do I take it off and Plastidip that area black? I need to figure something out before the Oct WagonFest

| Getting a quote from a local car wrap place do design and install some better quality stuff....but I did find the same material I bought before and am still thinking about just redoing the door (and possibly rear quarter) If you remember...this wagon had 3 shades of factory woodgrain. This passenger door and back quarter had been replaced and I think this failure was me not cleaning the panel right. If I remember correctly....there was a cr@p load of glue on these. This door is the worst. Everything else looks fine still. | |

| Bummer that the wood is failing. I've peeled enough woodgrain to think it would be worth it to have it wrapped with better material and then to let it be. Save your pennies!
Still love that hood, and really like the blackwood style!

Yup. And pray no panels were replaced after it left the factory.....those usually suck coming off. You can get a cheap heat gun at Harbor Freight....just watch your fingertips (and don't go full on high temp) I have pics of my removal a few pages back.

| Well, I took a heat gun and worked on the spots that were looking bad....it actually turned out "ok". Enough that I took it to Cars and Coffee Someone took a picture of me driving in! I need to put my airdams on. LOL! I have a couple of mods I'm doing next week (mostly lighting upgrades) and then its time to countdown to the ISSCA NATS!! I am taking the wagon this year. Already scheduled a dyno tune for it too. Curious to see what kind of power it is really making. | |
