| On my car I have 35% on all but the windshield which makes it illegal in Wisconsin. You ban only go 50% on the front windows and 35% on the rest. The only reason I went with the 35 on the front windows was the guy the did my car said that if I ever got stopped for it he would redo them free. I do feel that the 35 does look fine on my DGGM and really wouldn't look much better darker. | |

| I've had 35%. I do not like them. They are too light for my taste. with a vehicle such as ours, where the storage space has windows directly into it, I like to keep visibility down as low as possible. I keep lots of tools as well as my subs in the back of my wagon, and do not want them stolen.
Unfortunately, this explanation did not fly with the cop who wrote me the ticket. I can't say I blame him. He was a rookie who was just following the instructions of his FTO. And it IS the law.

| Well, the only thing I would really need my rear de-froster for would be a snowy day....which I never saw last winter. I wanted a clean rear window (even my DD Cavalier is De-froster free) GM actually did make a few with this color combo (Fred sold one a few years back too). Jade didn't come with it though (was tan) So this is my own creation. Gutted it and replaced it with the interior from another wagon I had. Here is Jade right before I added the Ruby Red interior. Even the metal UNDER the old interior was dirty. Spilled cokes...food....coffee....and who knows what. I drove it to work today...I asked for 20% (like I had on the OCC) but this sure seemed darker. I called and asked what he used, and he said "Limo Tint". Lol "You said Dark right?" Well, its dark! Chris | |

| Oh, and I have the door panels. I didn't put them on because I replaced all the window rollers and wanted them off for tint.
Now I am waiting until I re-wood to install them. (since I need to take the outer door handles off)
They are not cracked, so I want to handle them as little as possible to keep them nice!

| there's a distinction in which way the "20%" can be described
Do you want to block 20%, transmitting 80%, which would be a light color Do you want to transmit 20%, blocking 80%, which would be dark.

| I thought, generally, window tint followed the second convention there when it came to discussing percentages? |

| Is your auto-dimming rear mirror useless now? The folks at Sun Tint did my '89 Olds in Limo at I ended up taking it back for a lighter shade on the tail gate glass. At night I could not see out and the auto-mirror would no longer dim. Car looked pretty cool though and in the bright Texas sunshine it was like climbing into a cave in the parking lot. | |

| Nope. Likely flat black. Will leave the beltline chrome though..with the black rubber strips like stock. (I think) | |

| Are you doing the whole car flat black? That would make the interior color 100 times more normal. | |

| Judging by the fact that he got his front bumper and grille painted DGGM not too long ago, I would guess that the car is going to be DGGM | |

| The DGGM with dark wood is going to be gorgeous. What about the outline trim? Polished or dark grey?
Enjoying seeing this one come together!

-Mike You and JaySS are thinking along the same lines. I do wonder if the black would be too much, so I will test out some charcoal / dark grey! (to pick up the lighter colors in the woodgrain...) Just got back from a mess of a trip to NC. Dropped those ATL Eagle wheels off to a forum member. Tornado Warnings, golfball sized hail (took a video of that)..and wrecks galore! My little Cavalier's wiper motor gave out too. Thank God for Rain-X Anyhow, came back with a load of critical parts!! Would do it again in a heartbeat! Chris

| Well..this is it. My carefully bought parts stash for this weekend! Hoping to get the woodgrain, front suspension, steering components, brakes and SS swaybar put on between Fri Morning and Sun afternoon. Then hope to have the door panels back on and wagon detailed by the end of the day Monday...(to take it to Charlotte on the 21st) Wish me luck...BigOldV8 is coming down to help me...we usually pull off some good projects together and manage to keep it fun! | |

| Looking REAL GOOD - Seeing the pics here you REALLY need to think about getting a set of tinted tails, and then black chrome the trim.
It would really set it off well
