PostSubject: yarding in georgia   yarding in georgia Icon_minitimeSun Mar 25, 2012 10:27 am

So i travel for work and go to all the local yards to where i happen to be working. I just traveled to ga friday and was yarding sat morning. went to two junkyards.

#1 had lots of caprice sedans, 1 ss, and 1 rm but not a wagon in sight.I grabbed 1 piece of trim of the sedan and picked up some vintage buick badges to customize my wagon.

#2 was 21 miles from #1 . #2 had a good amount of wagons. 1 caprice and 3 or 4 rms. picked off some trim i needed and the smaller back glass waterseal, hoood ornament to match vintage badges. got a few more pieces of small exterior and interior trim.

one wagon was a 96 with duels im thinking about grabbing the duels but i have no idea how hard i would be to get these over my rear end without taking it out or if it is possible. my wagon is 92 tbi im hoping it will work.

any way here are some pics from the day.

heading back there today for more parts might grab the duels any advice would be great on the crossmember and rear. also any one on here from ga that could help me weld these on if they will work?

the yard with the wagons is in atlanta south the one with sedans is east

Sure could use some wagon doors. I just need to find the time to get out to the local yards here.

Most vehicles in the yards, here in OK, are rust free, I just need to find the yard that has some nice wagons like the ones you found.

Reminds me of Chris's "Brokecello" white RMW AFTER he did all that hard work on the underside!

You have to cut the duals to get them out. They would hang out of the back of your wagon anyway if you don't. If you cut them just in front of the axle, you can dump them with some turn-downs.

Love southern yards! Great pics and that's a lot of wagons!

Looks like someone took the time to paint the woodgrain outline trim on the DGGM car. Sad to see it in there, love that color.

Thanks for posting pics!
