| Wanted to see if I could use tiger hair to patch my quarter instead of welding in that patch panel.. I mixed the hair per the directions with a fresh tube of hardener. When I went to apply much of the hair would not stick and simply slid off. Leaving me with the mess you see. Any tips on how to make this stuff work? | |

| On your next attempt use a piece of wax paper and put the tiger hair directly on the wax paper. Use a large enough piece to cover the hole and beyond and then apply it to the opening. When it is almost hard remove the wax paper and there you have it. Aso it cut down on alot of sanding. | |

| Thanks Jarod! Are you saying apply the hair to the wax paper then apply the whole thing like a sticker to the area then peel off the paper?
Also, any ideas on getting this failed attempt off?

| What's all the silver tape stuff? I understand what the screen is for.
Did you sand down to bare metal?
I would have laid up some mat rather than try the tiger hair stuff. Too inconsistent for my liking.

It's what was covering the hole. However where the hair was applied was sanded down to bare metal. The few parts left is just run off. - jayoldschool wrote:

Not going to bother, its crap on the other side, already have a new one to replace it.
