OK Guys heres some more info. For those wanting to definitaly come, be advised THIS IS A TWO DAY (SAT & SUN event.) If you want to go on friday that can be arranged but for the most part SAT & SUN is the Show. Friday is basically vendor / swap meet set-up & First come/early bird swapmeet hunters.


If your all in for both days then you guys are all set!! If you guys can PM me your Car info (If your bringing one) also need mailing addys so when we get the tickets we can mail them out - OR if arriving sometime on Friday I can meet you guys and get you your tickets. Tickets include entry for two people, and car entry for Fri Sat & Sun.

Guys as I am sure Chris can atest it is a organized event. And yes there are tents, I bring my personal 10x10 & 10x20 tents which give us alot of room. Our spot for the spring event we where parked was on pitroad right off the entrance from turn four. Its a great time, with the swap meet, vendors, car corral & show.








Normally we all meet up and drive in together, (USUALLY AT A PREDETERMINED SPOT NEAR THE TRACK) there are some people that arrive late from time to time, but when we issue tickets there is also a easy to read map. The tickets include 1 parking pass for your vehicle for both days and 2 gate passes (so bring a guest) for saturday, and 2 passes for sunday. Judging is on Saturday and awards presentaions are on Sunday. I am starting to work on getting / acquiring door prizes, giveaways, and donations (If you want to be an early bird and get inside on friday for the good pickins of the swap meet that could also be arranged) Hope to see some of you join us

Just so you guys know...Mike is not holding another fall gathering in VA this year. Fred is also not sure about a Charleston gathering too.

This is something we can plan on ( for those of you who could not make FL or NY )

I have always wanted to go to Charlotte Motor Speedway for a car show. Sounds like a good excuse to finally make that happen. I'm in.

I'm a definite maybe. Funding as we get closer will determine whether I can go or not. Sorry I can't be more certain at this point.

Sorry to hear there won't be a WF in VA. The timing was perfect in October. Had a great time last year, but understand. September doesn't work for me.

Wish I could but not likely.

Probably not as I am saving up my $/time off for Florida.

doubt I can swing it, but last minute cheap flight, you never know, lol.

Sounds like fun, but in all honesty, probably not centrally located enough to attract too many guys from up north.

Not aiming at getting the guys up North Tom. That is what NY is for....

There are actually a lot of wagons around this area...just need to get them involved. Reaching out to those who have never gone to FL or NY.

Ok if I fly out of here on a thursday (20th) and then fly back on a tuesday (25th) do i have any takers that are willing to accomodate me for a few days? I would need to be picked up at the airport and I love to check out any yards while down there. Anybody interested? I'm not a drinker or a smoker.

I'm sure we can come up with something. if we get enough people interested and everything becomes a GO I will start looking into hotels, and work on getting getting group rates

Chris - I was going to ask you to sent me the info of that place, and I will check with them on setting something up

OK GUYS - I need a head count to see who is actually wanting to visit the NC area for this event. That way I can really start getting things rolling as to stays, entries etc etc etc

I'm in. Not sure which vehicle will be making the trip though.

Just booked a room at the Holiday Inn Charlotte/Concord for Friday night. Will stay at my sisters on Saturday night before I head for home.

I can not stay for the whole day on Sunday. I will need to leave by noon to get home at a reasonable time.

I see you updated some info on the first post! I am in for sure ( so close )

I booked my hotel last time via Hot Wire. Great deals but no refunds ( which I lost a couple nights from my NY bookings..lol)

The event is FREE but keep in mind you need to show for Sat and some of Sun. Its how we get the free admission and sweet parking site

CarISSMA Officers have a meeting on 8/30 with the Auto Fair Staff, and to pick up the Tickets/Passes and intinerary.

The show is coming up fast so for those who are not on the list, and want to come out for a great weekend I need your info ASAP.

For those of you who have signed up I will be contacting you for final confirmation, and to send out your info

that show is almost where i picked up my roadie from last month, maybe its home sick ??? might have to make a trip

If you do want to come up for the weekend let me know as time is running short.

I live in Raleigh but have to work Saturday 9/22. I may drive down on Sunday and head back the same evening, I need to check my schedule. I don't think I'll have a passenger with me; I asked my wife if she wanted to go and she said that she has no desire to hang out with a bunch of, and I quote > "wagon weirdos!" I may be able to coax one of the kids to join me, but they will most likely be bored also.

My car isn't what I might consider "show worthy", especially with my recent fender-bender, hope this is OK(?)

Eric, In order to attend with your wagon and participate in the show - The auto fair requires that to participate in the event that cars must be present for both days of the show, however if you want to come out to see the show, and hang out with the club on sunday I may be able to hook you up with a non car admission pass for the day.

This is the rules from autofair, and asks that all participating clubs adhere to these rules
