| If it's the same car...I think Fred got it at auction for less then 1K, add whatever it cost to get it to him and that's a tidy little profit.
I thought that car was at top dollar when it hit $2600

| Fred knows these cars, and he stands behind the cars he sells. Many of the forum members here and on ISSF have bought wagons from him and wouldn't think twice about buying any wagon from Fred. | |

| The car is in excellent shape, not an average illinois car.
there,s alot more to the story on this car,.Fred never sells a car until its been driven by him for a while and tweaked to get any bugs out . Guy sells a good product.
dcm wb4's are quite rare.
Some folks are really hung up on a guy making a buck.

| I was just surprised how much this car went for. Ebay is the ultimate test of what the market will bear. It does look like a nice car but once you get the "rust" at the bottom of the B pillar the rest of the car is soon to follow. Speaking for my Ohio experience! | |

| Fred is a VERY trusted seller and the DCM WB4 is a bit of a rare combo. The SS crowd likes 'em, so that probably helped with the price. I'd be willing to bet he sold it to a repeat customer and it IS getting harder to find them this clean. Fred will go out of his way to help a wagon owner. I was just happy I could help him once (bought him a set of wires when he picked up a Caprice and it had a miss in it). Look forward to seeing him again sometime soon. | |

| Guys, with 52 bids it's pretty obvious that multiple people wanted this car. THAT ALONE is what drove the price up.
And Nick is right - Dark Cherry Metallic no-wood Roadmasters are rare. With DCM paint in good shape and miles below 100k, it's even more rare.

| This is considered rusty? Rare combo (even rarer to see a DCM WB4) | |

| It also has to do with the seller. Fred (ruphraxe on here) is well known for his top notch wagons. He doesn't sell anything that is junk. | |

| Oh, didn't know that. That makes sense. I have a friend that is into Turbo Buicks that same way, if he is selling the car you know it is golden. | |

Appears to have/had a water leak on the passenger side. That lower B pillar looks one finger away from being a big hole.

| That is expensive, but when Fred bought it he said that a DCM WB4 with a tan interior (or was it, tan limited interior?) is one of the rarest wagon combos out there; he considered it the "brass ring" of Roadmaster wagons, and as others have established Fred has sold a lot of wagons, so he knows his rarities. That may also be contributing to the high bidding price. That wagon sure did clean up nice from the first pics months ago, shame about that B-pillar spot though. Hopefully whoever buys it won't ignore that and let it get worse. | |

| The color combo and mileage can really drive up a price on ebay. My buddy had a 96 with only 98K on it and it got 33mpg and it was light blue with wood and he only got $3,500 on ebay for his. Not a looker like what Fred sold. | |

| Fred can find some nice cars in obscure places most of us couldn't get access to. Good guy, and really knowledgeable when it comes to the B wagons.
I'd like a gray interior in a Buick wagon too. I wonder why they never offered that color in the RMW.

| I had a full set of Grey leather RMS seats, that I traded to a ISSF forum member for a equal set of Dark Charcoal Bonnies. They were for my boy's car and he didn't want the leather. | |

| no... a 96 that has little to no rust is remarkable for up here in the rust belt... must've been garage kept from day 1! We had some friends come up from Albuquerque and he had never been North of Kansas City... he was shocked to see a mid-90's Ford with wholes around the wheel well. I told him that's what we call "minor rust." | |

I have one of these, but I found this hard to believe,so I went into compnine to check my VIN. It tells me that with my WB4,77U,VO3,641,and 643 there were only 3 built. Could this be possible?

| I bought the white 96 Roadmaster from Fred a few weeks ago that was on Ebay. All the good things I have heard about him are true. There was a delay (not on his part) getting the car delivered to my house in Pittsburgh, and it was delivered a few days ago. Only problem, I'm on vacation in Florida, so I haven't seen it yet! My inlaws stopped at my house to get the keys that the shipping company left in the car, and they said that it is beautiful. I'll be home next Monday, so I'll get a chance to see it in person for the first time. | |

Thanks to you and Jay at the Cadillac forum, I took the leap and bought a sight unseen car 800 miles away from me. I don't think I would have ever done something like this if you guys had not spoken so highly of Fred.
