Well, I had to share. I did my usual lunch prowling on CL and came across an ad for a set of SS wheels with tires....for $250!!

I checked with Cara and decided to contact the seller and make a move. Went by after work and bought them! No wheel weights on the outside...inner barrels clean...all centercaps...pretty good tires (244/44/17s though..I think...) Some light curbing on the outer edges, but NO chunks. I can sand/file that down later on.

Anyhow, they will go on the OCC tomorrow night! Pics to come!

That's right. I once bought a set of rims within 10 minutes after they were posted on a forum by finding the guy's email address and paypalling him the money before anyone else could even ask.

Those tires are 245/45/17's Kinda small...but I will use them for now as the tread is still good. I just cleaned the wheels up a bit. You can see the clear coat might be shot. But I think it will be ok for now.

I did one side and it started to get dark. (I painted the calipers and drums too) When I finished the driver's side, it as too dark for a pic.

I like the look!! Now I hope Adam can hook me up with some Olds Rocket decals for the centercaps.

Yeah take a trip to savanna, if you get there by midnight you should be on your way home by 2am....Robert is real good with stripping the clear coat off them rims and buffing them up.

The drums are newish too.

Not my fault! Though it's getting increasingly hard to find components not made in china. Thankfully the rear brakes don't do most of the work.

I like them Chris! Look great! I don't think they'd look good polished though... Keep them as they are!

Hey! Got a little halloween treat in the mail tonight Adam made these for me and they will fit perfectly over the bowties!

Mike, what do you have under the bowtie? I have a hole that I RTV'd and it didn't work

I dunno...they are aftermarket caps though. Adam says to just put these directly over the bowtie emblems.

Do you know if Adam can make Repro chevy emblems that fit on the 9C1 center caps?

Yes, he absolutely can. He made some Olds Rocket ones for my Cruiser. That's how I first did business with him, great guy.

Got them on!! They look sweet Man...those 245/45/17s are so tiny. Not liking the gap in the fenderwell. But hey....can't complain for the price I got everything for.
