i had a 92 roadie, it had tachometer in the cluster, my 96 doesnt, if i got the earlier cluster would it be a direct swap ???

You'd be better off getting analog gauges from an F-body with a LT1. It's been done on here, with photos. Or, Flash Gumby got an a-pillar pod for a tach and gauges and got SWEET overlay, and reprogramed the PCM so he has an accurate 200MPH speedo (again pics are around here).

After the Corvette Fuel Rail covers and Impala wheels, this was my favorite mod on my Roadmaster!!
