| Hello Everyone. I'm really not much for forums on-line. I much perfer the phone. However I am a big station wagon fan. Currently have 2 '87 Safari's and an 86 Parisienne Safari. We also have an '84 Cutlass Supreme Borugham and a '51 Pontiac Chieftan Deluxe. Now is the time where I step on someones toes but I don't really like any of the GM full size wagons built in the '90. My favorites are still those manufactured from the mid-50's to the late '70's.[b] Of course being born in the early '50's has a lot to do with my taste in wagons. If I am lucky before I kick I'd really like to have a '59 Bonneville Safari. I am pleased so far with the tone of this site and the manner and WITH manners in which members write replies. I'm far from a kid, I'm not hip or into street talk. I appreciate the guys that take time to be polite and I will always be the same in return. OK I'm through with the accolades and will close by saying that I hope to be a member for a long time and to be able to use the forums or be of help to others. Keep up the good work to all GM Longroof Forum members! Joe from N.E. Ohio | |

Welcome to the forum. | |

| Joe, Welcome to the forum. I just bought my first 90s car ever. A 1992 OLDS Custom Cruiser. Love it. I have driven 50's Cadillacs, Hudsons, Chevrolet trucks, etc as daily drivers for years. You might enjoy seeing some of them on LROM for May 2012.
Post some pics of your cars when you can. I am an early Baby Boomer, class of 1947. I was naming cars in the early fifties. Gasoline in my veins. Enjoy the dialog.

Welcome to the a madness.
You own a boxie? Watch out! You're gonna poke your eye out with that thing!

All joking aside, welcome to the Longroof forum. Got any pictures of your station wagons for us to look at? - swingin'safari wrote:

I definitely have a preference to the good old "boxy" station wagons and cars, especially those made in the 70s and 80s. But even a 90s GM wagon doesn't look like some of the crud on the road today. - swingin'safari wrote:

Is anyone who happens to be into station wagons hip? (Probably not if you believe the marketing hype.) One of my pet peeves (or obnoxious opinions, depending upon how you look at it) are those who don't bother to write in a halfway decent manner on forum posts. Ah well. I'm starting to ramble on pointlessly now. You are definitely in the right place for GM station wagon fans.

What about three wagons? - lakeffect wrote:

In the name of safety, please discard any boxy station wagons you find by sending them to me. I'll even cover the freight. They must be taken off the road immediately safely stored in my garage for restoration and repair. Just remember: It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye. Then it's all fun and games except for the guy with one eye. (He would still have a nice boxy station wagon, though.)
