I was leaving the post office today and an older women with 2 little kids asked me "Is that your station wagon?" I answered yes thinking she would tell me the usual "We had one like it" story. Instead she laughed and said that when they drove up her grandson (who looked to be about 4) said "Look grandma there's a wooden car". That was a new one for me so I just had to share.

I got mad props from some teenage girls at the beach in my OCC, perhaps white wasn't the best choice, lol.

Ugh, yes. I was talking to a girl at school the other day as we were walking to our cars in the parking lot, and she was like "You drive a hearse?"

Sigh. I can't date that. lol

Were anybody to ask me that question, I think the only answer I could have would be "hell yes". Followed by "is there a problem with that?" ...

Well, I'm not the dating type anyway. tongue

I'd have said "No, the driver drives the hearse, I ride in the back."

Guess I'm not the dating type either.

I get just the opposite reaction when I am working. I train Comcast techs and Comcast contractors. These guys generally range in age between 18 and 28, with a few exceptions. Many of my training sessions end up in the guys looking the car over, usually the hood goes up. In fact most of the techs in the Mid-Atlantic states know me by the wagon.

Once had a elderly woman kinda hobble up to my wagon at a local shopping center and ask me
if I was with the local funeral home. The reason I said hobble was because she was pushing one of those 2 wheeled portable oxigen carts.

I've considered a hearse for my job but it has been pointed out that it wouldn't be "appropriate" to show up at nursing homes in the middle of the night in one... I think it would be kind of fun but the people who sign my paycheck don't see it that way.
