| thanks and thanks.. I did get the white plastic lenses, but I don't think I was very gentile getting them out..still, better than nothing! the interior on that car was in very good shape, I din't see any cracks in the door panels or rips in the fabric. But the one I bought is leather and different color, so I have no use for that one. I'll text the guy about cutting the exhaust from the crossmember. He told me that the exhaust was in mint condition. | |

Juan, just because a good panel isnt a match for your car doesnt mean that it wont work in my wagon.Always grab it because these panels are valuble to someone here and they make for great trading stock. |

| Kids love the rear-facing third-row seat. If we take the grandkids anywhere, they always ask if we can take "poppa's car" so they can sit "in the very back". | |

| Looks like a great project! You'll be amazed at the change in ride once you change the shocks. You might consider changing the rear springs too, while you are under there. Installing variable-rate Moog rear springs really helps.
And yes, kids love the 3rd row!

| thanks, you know what number of those Moogs springs fit the 93 RMW? the roof rack is also from a 96 Roadmaster. with the 3.23 rear axle I don't think I'll have problems for the light towing I may need time to time. Need to introduce the roadmaster to my twins (7mo), Gabi so far have no complains! | |

- Anything can be modified if you have enough time and money. The LT1 was designed for electric fans originally. The mechanical fan with the HD cooling option was tacked on as a bit of an afterthought, so it's fairly easy to retrofit the LT1 to electric only. The TBI is the traditional GM fan belt/waterpump design, so while you could retrofit electric fans (at least in theory) you will have to maintain the pulley on the waterpump. That part would likely be a matter of 4 nuts and bolts, but maybe a disk to stiffen the pulley hub would be a good idea. You would also need some sort of bracket(s) to mount the fans. I don't know if anyone has come out with a kit for that so I would guess you'd have to fabricate your own bits and pieces to suit.
Is it really worth it? If you are racing then probably. For everyday driving, I don't think your gas mileage increase will be anywhere near a "gallon or two". A hp or two -- on the highway -- perhaps, but even then I think it's doubtful. Don't forget that an electric fan isn't magic -- it adds to the engine load through the generator. There's so many other factors eating fuel that the difference between a mechanical or an electrical fan seems pretty trivial by comparison.
But if you decide to try it, take careful measurements before and after and let us know. I could be wrong. The 93 Fleetwood has electric fans and an LO5. The brackets and fans are a direct bolt-up. The LO5 in the Fleetwood claims to make 5 HP more than the B-bodies. You only need a way to control them. If you encounter a 93 Fleetwood, get the hard fuel line to the TBI, because it has a Schrader valve to check the fuel pressure. The line is a little different than the B-body line, but bolts up perfectly. The 91 and 92 Fleetwood with the LO3/5 has lines identical to the B-body lines with a Schrader valve, as well. You can then check your fuel pressure, or even add a permanent mini fuel pressure gauge. | |
