santa Happy Holidays to all you wagon drivers - my 93 Roadmaster Wagon is a "work in progress" - I have always been a car nut - my dad and older brother got me started and made sure the gene was passed on to me.  I have passed the gene on to my daughters..

I am a retired teacher...live in Montana in the summer and Georgia in the winter..work for a tour company in Montana..retired from Univ of MT...work at the Dillon, MT airport, carpentry, buy and sell truck cabs (rat rod material).

The first car I can remember was a 48 Ford Woody wagon owned by my family - I was about 3 years old -- we also had an Indian motorcycle with a side car my mom drove - great as a kid to be picked up from school in an Indian driven by your mom.....there were several wagons that we owned -- 53 Chevy wagon - the "fishing car" my dad would say...49 Ford Woody -- I bought it for $25 and drove it home in 1962 -- just sold it to a California guy -- sorry to see it go but it was a project I was not going to complete.....1956 Chevy Nomad - great car - wish I still had it - 4 speed/350 from JY - had a carb that was too large for the heads - would spit fire from time to time - I thought  bigger carb was better at that point.....2007 Chevy HHR Panel Wagon - got two speeding tickets with that thing--95+mph - asked for senior discount....many other cars have passed through my hands..but I still have the first car I bought..

Very Happy 48 Ford coupe - my first car -- bought from my brother when I was 14 -- so I have had it for 53 years if my math is correct - drove it all through high school/college.... Chevy motor/350 auto several times --- have new motor in it and it should be on the road the summer of 2014.....would love to drive it in power tour one day...will go to my grandson when he is ready...

My 93 RMW was found in a backyard covered with mold -not running and bought/cleaned up/put back on the road--now it has new air induction system, tires, battery, shocks, radio, air, alternator, belt, JY passenger seat that became driver's seat, tinted windows, paint by Tom, dechromed - needs antenna replaced as of last trip...future console/floor shift, new carpet, headliner, power tour, drive to MT, ????? We shall see what the future holds..maybe an engine update LO5 ???? or just buy an LT1 wagon??? I would like to thank all you guys for your help and support on the site, especially Fred K, Silverfox and Sprocket -  thanks and see you at Wagonfest Daytona 2014

Nice story Tom! Like seeing the pictures of the old stuff. I'm sure you can find plenty of cabs out in the fields of Montana. Fifty one years owning the same car......wow. Got the title? ha ha

Nice story and look forward to hearing more in Daytona. I love the old stuff too, would love a 50s wagon but they are outta my price range for anything I could work on (but I keep looking!)
