| My Aunt has lived in Austin most of her adult life, and knows TONS of people in this city. One of her friends works, Carissa, at one of the local rock radio stations, and mentioned to my aunt that she was about to trade-in a spare "fun" car....a station wagon. Of course my aunt thought of me, and I got the call last night. I love how cars "find" me. So here's the deal....she's about to trade this in, but wanted to see if anyone wanted it. 1993 Caprice Wagon, 120K miles. She's asking $1500 for it, but is open to options. Central Texas car, not a spec of rust on it or under it. Light blue paint is faded some...Texas sun...., but no wrecks ever. Was her grandparents car, and she's had it two years. Been to concerts, hauled band stuff, if only it could talk right? I would buy this in a heartbeat and give it to my oldest kids as a first car, but with Christmas just past....I'm broke! Here's her exact message to me. If anyone here has an interest in it, let me know pretty quick. I'd hate to see it become someone's work truck!! Hi Mike! So it's a 93 caprice classic. My boyfriend is handling the sale for the most part, but he listed it starting at $1500 because someone had recently offered me that, though if I'm completely honest it needs a little bit of work. The transmission fluid (I'm told) has a small leak but I have been keeping an eye on it and for the last 6 weeks it hasn't gone low, so I don't know what that means. We recently got the a/c fixed and as well as the heater, and the battery and starter have recently been replaced. Also it just got new belts, but my boyfriend would have to explain which ones. It was my grandparents car that they mainly used for their vacations, and mostly sat in their drive way otherwise. I've been driving it almost two years , and besides being way to big for little me, it's pretty fun!! Definitely willing to talk about price! -Carissa | |

| Oh and PS I'm more than willing to park this at my house until you can come get it, if it'd help. And knowing me, I would clean it all up and most likely fix any small issues while it's in my driveway.
Save THIS Whale!!

| Mike, I will gladly give her the 1,500 if she could take payments. I could send you half now, and rest when I get one of these insurance jobs done. Let me know if this is possible. If not no biggie. Thanks for offering it up. | |

| It's blue-on-blue. Has the 350 but not sure if it's set up for towing.
I don't know her well enough to ask for payments. I think she just offered to sell it outright rather than trade it in.
If anyone is serious, I can reach out to her. I think it would be a nice clean starting point for a project.

| Man, it's the right price and I'd scoop it up in a second. But I'd feel horrible as it would be a winter beater for me... Doh! That's a good deal for a rust free car. | |
