I got it to the shop this afternoon, it's a southern US car. no rust to speak off. it's been undercoated. it is filthy, the driver's seat is tired. the driver's door panel is ok but the power window switches have dropped off the switch plate and are floating just below the switch plate.....
the power seat recline and lumbar all work
the interior is filthy, it wasn't loved by it's last owner.
it's missing grey rubber side trim was all in the trunk, as are all four factory floor mats!
and it's very dirty

Man it's nice when a southern car shows up in the North. One just like this was in the Syracuse junkyard a few years ago, absolutely rust free. I grabbed a lot of metal off of that car.
Looks like a bone stock LT1 car... if you're planning to drive it, with that mileage I'd cap off the AIR pump system or replace those checkvalves ASAP (they are cheap) so it doesn't ruin the MAF, and put a Sonnax boost valve and do the '96 manual valve conversion in the transmission as soon as possible if it still has reverse.

Nobody noticed the '94 CD player? That's pretty rare, and REALLY rare in a roadmaster if you think of the type of people who bought these cars new.
Is that steering wheel really as nice as it looks?

EDITED - I didn't think the no-box clusters were very common.

So is there any front end damage? It kinda looked like the bumper was pushed in on the auction pics you showed me.
No white lines = early 94, probably first couple months of production. I've seen two in person. They look better with the white boxes IMHO.

All 3 1994s that I have owned did not have the white lines. I much prefer the look W/O the boxes.
I'm looking for grey limited seats in the PNW to swap into the caprice. And no, the irony is not lost on me that I purchased a set for my brother's caprice wagon a month before I purchased mine and moved out West.

My old '94 RMW was #415448 and it had no boxes; so it may be all but the last few '94s had that cluster. Does it have a white gauge indicator too? I hated that so I swapped in an orange one.

nah the fiberglass inner bumper is busted up need to replace it
funny how the wagons got steel inner bumpers and a boxed frame where the sedans got a lot less steel... so just how much lighter is a sedan?

I took the time to wash it after work today, then I took out the old frozen battery and put in a fresh used one from the junk yard and it fired right up and drives fine.....
then I put it in the shop.
who can decode this for me
and not to self do not do burn out inside the shop in winter, the smell of burnt rubber just don't get suck out fast enough

Nope, not going to part it out at this time. I has a clear tittle, and it was E-tested just four months ago, it drives and stops. so I'm going to clean it up fix the damage and drive it, and save the wagon.
if I like the way it drives and such I may pull out the cutting wheels and welder.......
and since it's not been done to a roadmaster sedan yet

Supposedly someone around my area is doing this to a wagon. I REALLY want to see it. If I do be assured I will get pictures and details.

You can use SEM on carpet? Doesn't it make it sticky and rough? My roady carpet has lots of stains, and I can't get them out, even after having it professionally detailed. Mine is tan inside by the way.

Yes, spray the carpet, let dry, then hit with a scrub brush to soften the fibers. Did that to the Buick before it sold. Looked like new carpet.

Did you spray the entire carpet, or just spray the stains? The worst spot on mine is the hump in the floor in the back seat area. Which color code SEM is the tan, by the way for my 96 Roady?

Spray just enough to blend. I usually spray from crease to crease. This helps color match by using natural shadows.

That's the "Halfmaster". There's a guy up in Ontario that has a large farm where they have roads and trails where they can abuse vehicles in pretty much any way imaginable. The guy's personal life is not pretty, but he does have some original ideas, and this was one of them.
I think at some point this was a donor car for one of Pat's projects(correct me if wrong) and eventually made it out to the farm. Believe it died from a seized engine finally.
