The cookout in Racine got "Hot-n-Heavy"

Dave Chugg invited us all to a cookout here in Racine WI at the home of issf member "GunGuy". I just got back to the hotel a little bit ago and wanted to post what a great time I had. I got to meet lots of new B-Body brothers and even finished up a few loose ends on my car while I had the time on my hands - like flaming the roof and putting on a new rear window sticker.

Anyhoo - a HUGE thank you to the hosts and here's some of the pix I took of the event.





The car facing you is sick. Original owner, original tires, etc. Let's just say he didn't do a burnout whwen he left.



And a bunch of other REALLY clean Impalas.

Also thanks to Chugg for helping me tape off my roof till like 1am on Friday night. When I rolled into town on Friday evening, I only had the flames layed out on half of the roof, so I half-assed the layout of the other side while Dave taped the first half. After the picnic was over, Lloyd, the host, let us use his garage to shoot the color. Thanks also to Sean for running me up to the paint store to make sure I had enough materials to finish the job. I'm just glad they had one open that late in the day on a Saturday in sucha small town.

Well, it turned out to be in my best interest to take another shot at having a rear window sticker that doesn't make me look like a total dickhead when I drop my kids off at their Catholic school - so I gave it another shot, and added some to the side glass too. Oh yea - and Coupes are for Chickens!

I soooooo want a set of those side window stickers...
