Luggage rack paint

Hi all, sorry to ask a kind of silly question, but is there a specific paint code or Rust O Leum color that is a good match for the roof rack? Mine appears to be flat black, but it also has been weathered for 25 years, so it may have been born gloss black.

paint it whatever black appeals to you. that said I had a jeep with a black grille. I used gloss black and liked it. 6-7 months later it was flat black. I live in FL where the sun is brutal though.

So if you like gloss, I would spray it flat black and use a glossy automotive clear on top of it. My buddy paints vehicles told me when I was repainting a mirror awhile back to spray it with the color and wait just a couple minutes and hit it with the clear. The two paints bond as the first isn't dry yet.

The mirror still looked good 5 years later when I sold the car.

Trim black, or any good satin black for outdoor will work.
