The blue wagon has spent most of the last 8 yrs or so in the trailer,.
It hasn't been winter driven since i got it,.
The side mouldings have gone for a sht!
I,ve never seen a rusty set before,.

I,m afraid to try and remove them,..

Any idea's?

Paintless dent removal can get rid of that wrinkle for about $100.

There was also a guy named Splinters from canada who attended Wagonfest NY 2010 who had a tan woody Caprice Wagon where the previous owner had replaced the entire chrome strip with a roll of it from 3M and it looked great. I can't locate the thread and pics now but it looked great. One of these days I'll replace the junk chrome on my 9C1 with it.

I remember looking at Splinter's car with Joel. Whoever did it, did a great job. They cut off the "chrome" with a very straight line and installed a new chrome strip. You could not tell unless you looked real close. Very nice job.

I had the same problem on one side of my tan Caprice. The "chrome" and the wide part of the molding were in tough shape. What I did was sand it down and clean it. Then I SEM'd it with bumper chrome and a tan color. Three years later, it still looks good.
