Wow, that made me sick to my stomach to watch. After you've been in a car fire, you look at that stuff differently. I'm glad they were at least able to pull off to a safe spot - my car just ground to a halt and that was the end of it.
My guess is the cause was probably related to all the aftermarket strobe lights and equipment they put in pace cars.
