| Hello all, ok so I have wanting to do this to my 94 caprice wagon for a long time now and just don't know we're to start. I have see tubbed wagons befor but never really saw how they did it. I'll will be changing out the motor and trans for something better but that's in the works right now. It could really helpful if any of you could show me some pics or links, just anything would help. This will be a fully strip ready car, but will mainly just be a fun ride.
Thanks! | |

| You are probably going to be narrowing the frame at the rear wheels as well. You could put sedan wheel openings on the car to give you some fiddle room for the tires. If you are going to tuck them under the fenders, you will be narrowing the rear substantially as well. You will also have fun narrowing the bed at the wheels. I believe it should be relatively straight forward. It should look incredible from the rear. | |

| You can fit a LOT of tire under a wagon without tubbing it. Enough tire for 500-600hp launches. Spend your money and your time somewhere else on the car. | |

| Remember if you start narrowing the frame rails, you are very likely going to to need to replace the gas tank. There is very little room between the rails as it is when the tank is in place.
I have 295/16/50 on the back end. How much wider do you need?

Dave, thats got to be close to a foot of rubber on each side!Would love to see a shot deom the rear showing both tires in all their WIDE beauty! Dont think our wagons would look good with any more rubber than what you have showing. |

| Ok, here's a shot of a white wagon I used to refer to as "Moby Dick". Didn't have the license plate to match though. It used to be in town but the guy used it as his winter rat and of course it rusted out. I offered to buy it before he got stupid with it, but no sale. Shows a good comparison to "stock" with 225's versus 295's. One of the few "rear" shots I have. | |

| We'll I was thinking that I just make a fuel cell that would fit right into the rear fold up seat foot wel. As for the tires I was looking at Goodyear eagle 32x17" -15's give or take the size.
As much rubber I stuff under there the better!!
I would show a link to a great example of how nice the rear end would look but my account is still a fledgling lol

How did you get the 50 inch rims on the wagon? And talk about rubber band tires at 16 profile.

The are 8.5 wide, But I don't recall the offset, which is rather critical. Yes Fred I reversed the numbers, they are 295/50/16
