| Ok this is a dumbass question, but can anyone tell me which color wires are the positives for the rear speakers in my '96 Roady wagon. I'm finally going to replace the pitiful stock rear speakers, and I want to wire up the new 6x9's correctly.
My front Concert Sound speakers still sound great, but the rear stock speakers have always SUCKED.

| now you know,..
but in the future,..
Take a 1.5v battery and a couple of jumper wires,. and jump the speaker,.one way the cone will extend outwards,.the other way the cone will suck inwards,.. outwards is the right way,.
Usually the speakers themselves have + - marked on them,.

| Bought a new set of 400-watt 3-way Pioneer 6X9's at Best Buy after work last night. On sale....could not resist. Sure am having fun working on my wagon! Gotta get it ready for it's October road trip. I'm not a big stereo guy, just wanted something to replace the stock hollow-sounding rear speakers. Don't need thumping bass or such, just decent sound. The front Concert Sound door speakers still sound great, but moving the fader to the rear....well the stock rears, after 18-years in the Texas sun....leave a lot to be desired, especially compared to the Bose systems in the Denali and Misty's Bonneville. Can't have that! Installing tonight. Can't wait to hear how they sound. -Mike | |

| I have the equivalent 6.5s in my front doors. They're decent. I prefer the 5-way Kenwoods I put in the rear deck though. |

These were marked down from $79 to $40. They had two boxes left. I just could not pass it up. Even if they sound like crap I still spent less for them than taking the family out to dinner.. -Mike

| Yeah. That's pretty much the only way I shop at Worst Buy, too. I've had these for two years now, I think. 5-way Kenwoods, currently only being fed by the head unit, but previously, they were getting 150w a piece and sounded so nice. I miss my audio setup... but, well... the stuff in the signature below is more important. |

| Got the speakers in yesterday. Easy job, and they do sound much better than the stockers. It's the little things that make you smile!! | |

| Can you define much better than stock? Maybe it's just my car, but the stock rear 6x9s did suck. Very quite and no bass. Put in some new 6x9 200 watt rated 3 ways. Still quite and not a lot of bass. By quite, I mean if I put it on rear only, i have to turn it up at least half way to get any noticeable sound.
The stockers were the same way. If it's 50/50 and I leave the volume alone and put it on full fade, it's like a whisper back there
