Contact paper....hear me out....

So, my door dings really piss me off.

I bought a roll of contact paper cuz it looked like a good match and I was gonna put it on the pop up to match the wagon. Wife said no.

So, I made up little patches of contact paper to cover the door dings. It is not show quality, but it covers up the dings quite nicely.

As for how long they will stay on...we shall see. Obviously, no automatic car washes.

Could have been a waste of time, but it was a nice summer day, with kids at camp & wife a work, so I played.....

I painted the plastic button surround today too. Patch is above.

Actually it's a good match.  The guy that has a perfect match with paint, is the guy you're seeing tonite, Lynol.  Ask him, he will show you on his wagon.

That hides well, good color match. Next time make them more roundish...like a tree knot. Will hide even better.

I have some areas on mine that I have to touch up now and then, normally with a modeler's brush and some tan or nutmeg-colored paint. Dent is still there but hides well.
