| Split folding rear seat? I hear people swap in seats from a Bonneville a lot, but has anyone done a split rear seat before? My other “wagon” is a Toyota matrix and having one child I was constantly using the split rear function hauling crap with the kid. Mt RMW has nice leather seats and I have no real desire to swap to buckets unless I can have a split folding seat.
pics if it has been done before.

| One of the issues with split folding seat would be keeping the driver's side in the upright position. The latch is on the passenger's side only. | |

I don't see it as an issue, lots of small cars have split folding rear seats even GM sedans. something has to work. FWIW I am fully capable of coming up with something on off but if it has been done before and there is an easy way I want to incorporate it. 4 (or 5) buckets might be cool if the rears could fold flat. I use my wagon like it was intended and how most people might use a suburban. for me it is one of the more practical toys I own.

Any pics of the progress so far? IMO 60/40 is a good split.

| Since many of todays cars have folding seats thats where I would start looking.Take off the needed mechanisms and fit them your seats but you probably already had that idea! |

| i am on vacation right now so have to wait. i have a 94 caprice and made my cut on the verticle pipeing so that way the upholsterer would have a easyer time which means cheaper. i think i am going to have the carpet come around the side to the front so if the sides rub against each other the carpet would hold up better | |

yeah pretty much. but people never cease to amaze me. some people come up with a brilliant cheap solution, while others thing that throttle spacers and or PVC pipe can magically make there car get more horsepower and gas mileage than the engineers that try to eke out every ounce of efficiency possible.

I have no idea what the seat frame, or hinges even looks like on a wagon. I do have some spare tan leather and welding is no problem for me. so I don't think it would be much of an issue. I cant really tear it apart till I stop driving it for the winter.

| the pass side has a pin that you push in and you pull it forward. once it is popped out you just slide the whole thing out the pass side. hope that makes sense | |

| Yep, we just used the feature last week to move my son to college. It's like a 70/30 split. Folded down the 30% portion and it was ready for three people and all his stuff. | |
