I just got this 1992 Olds Custom Cruiser.I have been messing with it a little and kind of want to do it as a rat rod type wagon. Just low and cheap as possible. So far I have cut the springs about a half a coil and lowered the rear a tad by adjusting the lever on the air shock system. I am currently in the process of looking for some parts. I need some rear drop springs and I might have located some wheels and some spindles for cheap. I want to stay with 15's and was thinking about using some Chevy truck rallys or Cragar 69 series deluxe. Any input would be great as I am just learning a little everyday about this car. I got to say these wagons ride amazingly and its currently kind of fulfilling my want for a Caprice sedan or Impala. Thanks!

Welcome to Longroof. Great choice for your wagon, but admittedly I'm a bit biased. Wink

The rallye truck wheels are a nice rim for the wagons. Here's an old pic of my '92 with them on. I also have a cheap set of chrome trim rings but don't seem to have any pics installed.

Have fun modding!

Welcome, Great start! I have a sedan as well as the wagon, but the wagon seems to get all the loving.

Nice start there, but needs an old's grille asap lol. Welcome home. Admittedly I'm also biased as I've had 4 Oldsmobiles now and I think they look the best of the three different models.

Couldnt agree more about the OCCs being the best looking of the bunch.Only have the one OCC but Ive had it for 10 years. Also had a 95 RMW that I sold to another member last april, just couldnt get into it like the Olds.
Still want a "wood delete"RMW some day but I am in no big rush!

I still have the Olds grill in the garage. It needs a little TLC and the emblem came off that is why I put the Impala one on.I am looking forward to this weekend supposed to pick up some wheels and spindles. It amazes me how many miles you can get out of these cars. I am also planning on putting a shift kit in there soon. Thanks for the good word guys. I will definitely keep you updated on the process.

I went to Vegas over the weekend and picked up a set of Belltech spindles and a set of 15x7 and 15x8 black rims. Only bad thing about the trip was we had to tow the wagon back. The car was overheating and the oil pressure went pretty low. I hope the engine is not dead. I have a line on a 383 but I know that I won't get the same mileage as I get now. I don't know really want to save the current engine at all possible.

Yeah I always save most of my old stuff and either sell it or keep it because I have been known to change my mind a lot.
