92 Caprice (Ruby) with stock SS rims and 235-55-17s on them.

First off, I know the whole front end should be rebuilt as it is fairly sloppy.

When I get to highway speed (I use it mostly for beach runs and daily commute on city streets) there is not a wobble in the steering wheel but sounds like something shaking on passenger front.

When I back into a parking spot and cut the wheel (or full lock U-turn) there is a clunking noise and a quick back and forth in the steering wheel.

My OCC did it to a much lesser extent and I know that one would rub the inside of the wheel on the front sway bar at full lock, but I haven't been able to look under the 92 yet (dark by the time I get home every night).

Just wondering if there is a particular front end part I should look at first for undue wear/replacement.

Clunking noises can mean ball joints.

It can also mean spindle sticking and releasing on the steering stop on the A arm at full lock. Grease that contact point and try it out.

I will put a third vote on the ball joints, and soon.

Mine ended up being the drag link. The joint that connects to the pitman arm was sloppy. Only found it by jacking up the passenger side and having the wife turn the wheel side to side
