I believe I have found why I have no fuel pressure. I may have kinked the in tank hose, because I tried using the pump to transfer the fuel, and...no fuel. The tank is coming out for the umpteenth time. I am so happy that I could chew nails and spit rust.

Opened the tank and did a little trouble shooting. The manufacturer of the pump harness didn't crimp the connector pins, and the wires pulled out of the connectors. I guess you can't trust anyone to make anything right anymore. Transferring fuel to lighten the tank for re-re-re-reinstallation.

Just in case, I bought another fuel pressure regulator. Holley uses the one made for an 84-87 Buick Regal with fuel injection. They use an off-brand copy. I bought a genuine ACDelco unit from Rock Auto. It cost a little bit more than the Holley, but I get one made in the USA (says so on the box). I may not need it right now, but I probably will in the future. It looks exactly like the Holley part. If Holley sells it for less than ACDelco, you know it is a really cheap copy.

I got the tank partially installed. I need to install one bolt, tighten two, and clamp the vent line to complete it. Today the temperature Is in the 50s, so I am waiting until tomorrow when it is supposed to be a bit warmer.

Finished the tank installation. Transferred the gas back into the car, but the temperature got a little cool, so I decided to quit until it warms up a little. It is still on the jack stands.

I just finished another tank install. I put a new modified sending unit in it. I sure hope this fixes it.

It is running again. I need to do a datalog to verify that all is well.

I have another issue. The pickup for the crank sensor failed. I ordered a new one, but it will take till Friday or so to get here.

Did the TPS autoset, and it runs again. I hope I have exorcised all of the demons in the engine compartment. I did a couple of datalogs, and the last one seems to show that it cleared all of the erroneous learned fuel parameters.
I found some, what appears to be AC oil, at the front right side under the bumper. That does not affect the running of the engine. I will probably have an AC shop check for a leak, or hole in the condenser.
At this time, it appears that it will be at the spring Daytona car show.

It ran at idle, but when I throttled it, it would break up. I was looking at the computer screen, and there is an adjustment for prime percentage that was set for 150 percent. I reduced it to 100 percent, and all the funny stuff went away. It now runs fine with no backfires.

This car is trying to make a fool out of me. Idles good but kicks and bucks at any throttle.

It had a restart when the original engine lost #7 cylinder.

I decided to run with just a crank sensor for now. No more backfires. I will be at Daytona for the spring car show for sure.
I was going to make a run to the grocery store, but it started to drizzle. I can do it tomorrow or Wednesday.

One more change in the tune. Now it starts with the cam sync, then ignores it when running. I understand why, but it took 4 months to figure it out. I hope this is the final change. The engine needs to know what cylinder is the first one to get gas and spark at the right time. Once It has the reference, It does not need the cam signal any more.

I ended up resetting the cam sync, and drove it to Daytona Beach for Wagonfest. Behaved great, and it runs good on 91 octane.
