I didn't plan on this one

On my way to a swap meet in north east CT last weekend my GPS took me some crazy back road route to the track it was being held at.  Down one of these side streets I ran into this thing with a for sale sign on it, and at a price I couldn't turn down.  She's a New England rust bucket but it's the right color combo and a slick top!  Needless to say, cash was handed over, AAA called and another car I don't have room for came home.

This one's a 1994 R1P car (coach builder) with a 2.93 axle, 166,xxx miles, medium garnet red over dark red interior.   Came with no brakes (besides a parking brake, which is one of only a few I have ever seen work).

So far I have replaced every inch of brake lines on it and picked up some eBay white walls for it.  Need to find some emblems for it and fix some minor issues (like a swiss cheese frame LOL).  Next up is to replace a bad O2 sensor, acquire embems, and flush the heater core.

Yep, looks just like every other heartbreaking rusty B and D I've had. Man, I hate road salt.

Good save! That one looked like it was close to being junk yard bound.

Do you have a mig welder and plan on doing the frame repair yourself? My 78 Coupe De Ville has similar damage, and I plan on buying a welder and learning how to use it in the spring.

looks decent. Never seen the little trunk rack on a fleetwood before.

Now is the time to fill the frame with expanding foam

and sell the honda,...

The tires are big, 235/75/15.  I actually had problems getting them on the rear of the car.  I think the axle is shifted towards the driver's side as I had to let the air out of that one to get it past the quarter panel

Got the badges this past weekend.  Turns out everything off a similar year Deville is identical except the trunk cover.  I got that off an earlier brougham.

Yes, I bought a gas mig setup from harbor freight to learn on.  My 75 Impala has a rotted frame that needs fixing and this Caddy will make for good practice before I tackle that rotted mess.

Me neither, a friend has one on a Roadmaster sedan that's very similar to this

The Honda isn't mine to sell, I wouldn't be caught dead in that thing.
