| Hi Gang! Just curious if anyone has "restored" their tail lights? My car lives in the garage, but the garage is often open and the I've noticed my taillights are fading a bit from the Texas sun. I've polished them with headlight polish and waxed them, and they look ok again, but that's not a permanent fix. I was thinking about clear-coating them...? Would love to hear thoughts/ideas. Thanks! -Texas Mike | |

| Oh yes I've restored many and it's easy. Factory puts a thin protective layer of clear over headlights and taillights.
Just take them out and sand or scuff and the get them clearcoated. And BOOM you're done.

To be perfectly honest it was years ago so I know aerosol clears have changed since then. Yachtdriver used a Uphol clear that I thought looked pretty amazing on his rims.

down . Is that amber color paint? I want amber turn signals on my old truck, but they are hard to find. I want to try tinting my clear ones. (Sorry for the hi-jack.)

| You can just sand them and then buff them to a shine. | |

| I buff it to shine before I got a new light cover. | |
