| I did the same thing to my brother's old Chevy truck a number of years ago when the original capsules were pretty cruddy inside. Made a big difference in terms of light output. Only difference is I laid down white instead of black before I did the shiny stuff. | |

| John show me a picture of what you mean so i can give you a better ideal. There are lots of options out there for this kind of stuff. Also here is the before and after of the brightness of the taillights. This is with the parking lights on. Also I took the picture of the newly finished light first, and when I put the other one back in the little 194 bulb burnt out as you can seee in pix. That will have a little affect on brightness a bit. Look at reverse light too when checking out pix's compared to unfinished light. | |

I'm thinking that gloss white would reflect more light than any other color, including silver. Chrome might outdo it, if the chrome was perfect.

| Nope,.. I put it in my airbrush and just spray. It has to be over a gloss black or white finish and also silver finish will work. That is what I used when I did Brokecello's center caps. | |

| Good ideal but use fiberglass instead. bondo will not stay. Actually Fiebrglass cloth and resin would be best. They make epoxy in big tubes and I know I have it and that would be best but pretty sure you could head over to lowes or home depot and pick it up in smaller tubes. | |

| the epoxy do you know the name and would i use that and fiber glass or is it one or the other. i was thinking i would rough up the plastic that i would be bonding to so the filler would have something to grab into | |

| Just use one or the other, and when looking for epoxy just read the package,.. as some are univesral. Filler will not have a lasting bond to roughed up plastic as there is mold release on most plastics piece's found on cars, and eventually it will just break free. that is why it is a bitch to paint plastic. | |

NOT to Jack Up Jarrods thread but Mark, Start looking up some of your Local Powder Coating facilities, and see what they have to offer - Many of the ones we have around here have powders that are really really close to chrome and carry a less expensive cost of actually chroming them.

| Do a little experiment. Paint one tail light reflector with the shiniest, most expensive stuff you can find, then paint the other reflector cheap old gloss white. Then check to see which one puts out more light. | |
