Anyone compare kyb gas adjust to bilstein b6? Would the b6 be less harsh?

I had the KYB in my 96 RMW, which I put in shortly after I got it as it still had the OEM shocks in it.

Later I put in Bilsteins, don't remember the number but they were the softer of two options at the time. They were the yellow ones back then if a B series IIRC.

The KYB were not bad shocks and gave decent control, but the Bilsteins did a better job of control and seem to be less harsh on small bumps, but firmer on big ones.

Unless KYB fixed it the part numbers for the shocks for sedans and wagons were reversed in their catalog. I would up with shocks that worked but didn't let the axle drop far enough to get the right rear wheel out. I replaced with the sedan shock that is longer and all was good.

The Bilsteins were the correct length.
