Awaiting owner response WagononRiverRoadbyReyesplaceonRiver

I found this wagon sitting along side a road where we recently camped.

Had a great time, just the daughter and me.................

Back to the wagon... Met the owner briefly when we were going home from the boat launch. He says it is his wifes car and the tranny does not work right. Did not get out of the car, he was busy and I did not want to bother him. Left my name and number. I am sure we can put the parts or possible the whole car to good use. 96' with blue interior........

At least you found it before it had a tree growing through the engine bay.

PostSubject: Wonderful Memories   Awaiting owner response Icon_minitimeMon Sep 20, 2010 10:12 am

Tim,those pics sure brought forth a flood of great memories. When I was about 10 we started out camping in a giant
GI surplus tent and then a real family style tent. From there it was a couple of poptop trailers and then a series of
real camping trailers that we used every weekend at our permanent site.We then got a 23 ft motorhome and my family
went everywhere in that thing.I was working as a mechanic by then and did a valve job on the 350 from the heated
comfort of the interior.
Gas prices went up and dad sold that one before I had a chance to buy it.Then he bought a Datsun powered
minihome and that was a joke.It was so underpowered that the only way to maintain 60mph was to stay in fourth
gear because 5th was useless even on a flat stretch of road.Even though Datsun made a good little truck it was
never meant to be a motorhome and it always made me laugh because it was so damn funny looking.
Thanks for the great reminders!
Jim
