| I knew this car I just bought for a winter rat was rusty so I shouldn't be surprised.... The tailgate is in very nice shape, and so is the jam area, surprising for a NY. car. The drivers quarter isn't too bad either, Huh? Ha, now this is more like it. Remember when you were little and your mother told you not to pick at that scab? I didn't listen then either. | |

Mike, not sure what exactly you mean? Just a guess, but does it have anything to do with the word "choke"? Tom

| I'm really surprised that body supply stores don't stock big pieces of sheet plastic and a heat gun for "bodywork" like this. | |

They were, but there was a seperate smaller plant in MI. My car happened to come from there. I never knew about this other plant til I read my window sticker.

Tom C. The previous owner had them all replaced in the last 2 years, so they are actually pretty good.

| bit of fibreglass,. it'll be fine,.buy some of that sticky metal tape they use for hvac,.its rust hole repair magic,. then cover it with something substantial,. i,ve built all kinds of car parts/area's with cardboard and duct tape covered with fibreglass resin and mat, its great fun when you pull the carpet and see the down pipes cats, bellhousing, cross member and tranny linkeage,.
