I bought some new Dunlop tires 235 70 15 because I wanted something a bit bigger than 225 70 15 and there both the same height.

Actually the 235 70s are a tiny bit larger than 225 70s. If you had 225 75s, the 235s are actually .3 inches smaller in diameter. You need to check a tire comparison calculator.
