So from my reading, it's generally accepted that the Monroe SS shock numbers for us are 550012 front and 550013 rear.

Anybody ever heard of these? 550052 rear SS shocks:

Ever used them? Any comparison? Worth it? Are they even air shocks? (They don't look like it...)

Thoughts/input appreciated.

Had them on my 1992 RMW that I sold to Bill's brother. NOT air shocks. The regular SS shock with the added spring. No sag, ever, with those. Bouncy when empty on rough pavement, glides when loaded down. Would be a GREAT choice for the smooth FL roads.

Better than the regular SS shock?

Now to see if I can FIND them in stock somewhere... they may have been discontinued. Hmmm....

Better, as in you can load your wagon down a lot. Not better than a regular SS, because it is just a SS shock with another spring.

Good to know. I will definitely hunt for these then. Will definitely help during the great college road trip(s).
