I got a guy in Miami who is parting out a b-body and I'm going to buy the windshield off him for Jade. Anyone on here carry one in the back of a wagon? WOuld it be better to have it curved up or down? best way to wrap it, etc as I don't wanna spend 2hrs driving and some cash just to break the thing.....

thanks

Most glass mirrors like to be carried vertical. Will it fit in the back that way?

Just how rough are the roads down in southern florida?Always see them carried upright aroung
here.I would think carrying it with the interior side facing up with some towels underneath
should be fine.My brother picked 1 up in IL for a friend and thats how he carried it.Most
important thing is to keep itt secure and unable to slide around the car.Wear gloves whenever handling used car glass and inspect it closely for any stress cracking from removal.

I plan on several blankets and maybe some styrofoam blocks to sevure it. Figured interior up would distribute the load better.

definitely will be going over the whole thing prior to payment on it....going to get it tomorrow afternoon. Roads are good, I'll be on I95 for 90% of the trip

used a Winnie the Pooh comforter and some flat squishy foam squares that were slated for Goodwill. Good thing I have the Rustmaster as the glass is safe and sound in the back of that for now (until I can get to fixing Jade or sell the rustmaster)...

It was actually a D-body, It's going to scrap tomorrow, was nice and removed when I got there, checked it for any cracks (none) and loaded it up in the back. Easy lazy drive on the way home and pushed it up to the back of the front seats incase I needed to brake hard (didn't) and life is good so far.

I won't feel good about it until it's installed

Get a pair of window suction cups at Harbor Freight to lift it into place.
