| no Larry it was the white wagon in my signature pic at the bottom but with my steel rims with the wire hubcaps and winter tires
when I returned to see the wagon again this morning the guy who picked it out of the ditch after the ambulance took me away couldn't believe that I was there standing and walking tow days after the crash
he then told me what one of the witnesses told him that the bell van didn't stop for his stop sign t boned me pushing the wagon into the culvert and when the front of the wagon hit the culvert it cause my car to go airborn while doing two full barrel rolls then it seemed to just hang there before falling back to the ground on the rear bumper then fell back wards on its roof in the ditch
I consider myslef very lucky

| Yeah, no kidding.
Hearing that account of what happened, I really hope you sue the company that owns that van. They owe you a boatload. |

If indeed it was a Bell Canada (or one of its affiliates) truck than most likely they are "self insured" like most cities and public transit companies. That means the settlement will be swift and lucrative. Bad press is not a thing they can afford nor want. Any attempt by them to "bargain" and you should lawyer up and buy a neck brace. Disability claims can run in the millions and from your description, you would have a legitimate claim. In your line of work, recurring back problems could mean a serious income issue. Bill

| Pat, I'm glad to hear you're alive. Your wagon did its job and saved your life. Thankfully you were driving your wagon and not a smaller car with lesser construction. My dad's 91 olds wagon saved his life in January. It's nice to know that GM built their wagons so well back then.
Hopefully you get one hell of a settlement out of this. This is one time when the company needs to pay. I wonder if the driver was on the phone or if he did not have enough sleep lately.
There was an incident here locally where an Ameren (electric company) driver killed a motorcyclist. turns out the driver had worked 18 out of the last 24 hours and had not have any sleep in the last couple days and had been running on coffee and energy drinks thanks to the hours the company made him work.

| that is exactly why truck drivers have "hours of service" requirements.
11hrs driving with no more than 14 total on duty. (american requrements...i understand canada is a little different)
however local (operating under 150 mile area) does not follow these requirements. that is one of the reasons i switched companies. when i worked for lowes i was pulling 16- 18 hrs every day and i almost fell asleep at the wheel of the lumber truck. now i drive route delivery for Office max (Grand & Toy to you Canadians)....4 tens.

| Pat really glad to see you're up and around. Thanks for keeping us updated on how you're doing. A lot of prayers have been sent your way for a fast recovery.
I know a replacement for your wagon is way down the list of issues on your mind, but if you want me to start looking, just ask. I love to hunt them down!
Feel better Bud and keep the posts coming as you can!
