| Did you drive it or tow it home?
Really too bad about the rust. I HATE salt. I like the blue interior. Oh well, at least the parts will go to good homes.

GU80, one of the first things I did was to light up both rear tires, it was fun...I have plans for this drive train...

I was so tempted to do a big stinky burnout with it before I dropped it off, but with my luck it would have chucked a rod or blown the rearend or something. Plus with the massive holes in the wheel wells, I would have smelled like tire smoke all day. Actually, smelling like tire smoke would have been okay.

nick I hate people who do that. If you know someone is coming to look at it and knows they'll probably buy it or w/e and then sell it from under you.

Cash is KING! I sold an upright freezer a couple of weeks ago, guy said he would be here in 2 days. Woman showed up that night with cash in hand. I tried to call the guy back, but there was no answer ( and no voicemail) ....he never called back or showed up. Had I waited, I would most likely still own the freezer.

Last year before I bought my Caprice I called a kid on a Thursday about a '94 RM wood delete. Told him I would be there on Saturday night with cash (well, bank check) in hand. He says ok, we plan to meet Sat am at 10. He calls me on Friday at 10:00 at night, after I went to the bank, got a certified check went to the RMV to take care of plates only to be told "sorry, I sold it for my asking price cuz they were closer to me"

| Wasn't the 396 part of the "big block" family?
Somehow I remember the 400 could be either big or small block..... but i am old now and my memory is not what I remember it to be.......

| Robert you are correct but starting in 1970 the 396 big block became a 402 big block but chevy never changed it.Waaay back when I traded a 72 Kawasaki H-2 750 3 cyl 2stroke motorcycle for a 65 396 vette convertible.Vette was awesome fast and loud but his wife threatened him with divorce before we swapped vehicles.Had already traded titles but this guy was just about begging so I went ahead and traded back.Had the vette for all of 2 hours.Had vette fever bad after that!
