Looking at
this thread on speakers, it looks like some of your have issues with mounting 1 din decks in the 1.5 din slot. The problem seems to be cheap dash kits. Here are 2 known good dash kits.

Installation was done using the
METRA 99-4000 adapter plate. I like this plate because it has a slot that can hold a cd jewel case. I used it in my 94 RMS and 94 RMW. On the RMS, my particular kit lined the deck up 1/4" too low and 1/8" too far to the right. I had to enlarge the holes to be able to move the deck to the appropriate location. The dash would not bolt back up without this mod. Others have reported great success with this plate, and the installation went without a hitch on my RMW.
A lot of people like
METRA 99-3300 because it mounts the deck flush to the rear of the trim panel. It has no pocket. You have to remove the little mounting bump in the back of the dash to get the head unit flush (I removed it on the 99-4000 shown above as well.)
