| Tim ,there has got to be something out of alignment with the bellhousing to cause all these clutch issues you have had since doing the conversion. The only thing I can think of is that the bellhousing to block surface is not perfectly true! |

| Jim,
This is something totally different than my last issue, nothing is mis aligned. This is a freshly ground and inspected crank, mine went back as a core. Both previous clutch set ups were not flat. The first was out .040" the second a bit less. new flywheel freshly ground and new Ram clutch with about .003" run out on the inside. Should be perfect. The clutch is to tall. Hitting the fork all the way around the outside of the clutch. Pretty even wear.

| Ok, this is where I am at. The clutch seems to be the correct clutch (at least that is what RAM says). The flywheel is within spec (1.55") from crank to friction surface. Nothing changed with the fork or bellhousing (nothing bent or loose). The crank is however a different crank, but I am re-assured my several sources (Ram and my engine builder). So I picked up another fork from my tranny builder today (freebie) to compare to the stock fork. All appears to be in VERY good condition (my original fork is in better shape along with the pivot assembly). So I see no alternative to grind a little meat out of the clutch fork. Do that is what I did. Pretty massive piece so I really do not think I weakened anything. Awaiting delivery on my new tranny jack adapter from Summit. Hopefully all this goes in on Thursday evening.

| RAM 88516HDX which should be the same dimensions as a stock clutch. I am told there is only one manufacturer of pressure plate. | |

| Where does it go, is it an engine cover? (forgive my ignorance) Wherever it goes, it looks way too cool to hide it. Pete | |

Buy all means let it dry. I will be leaving the house on Tuesday AM and not be home until Friday. I have the Carlisle show on Friday/Sat/Sun so the wagon may not get much attention anyway.
