| has anyone done the rear cargo light mod? it lights all the int. lights at once including the cargo area. it was posted on the impala site here is link http://www.impalassforum.com/vBulletin/showthread.php?t=244706&highlight=rear+cargo+light i did it today works great. i did it a little diifferent instead of running a wire from the b piller to the d piller i just did all my wiring at the b piller. the green wire that is at the d piller runs past the b piller so i did my splicing there. i also wired mine to the white wire that runs down the b piller with a orange wire that way when i put dome light on with the switch it lights everything up. if you use the door switch wire all the lights only come on when a door is open not with the dome light switch. only needed about 6 inches of wire. i really like how it lights up the whole car now | |

| For me... this mod would just result in getting a dead battery much quicker than it would currently happen. | |

| The push-button switches on my ride are of minimal quality. If I turn the light on with the switch, then open the tailgate, the light gets brighter. More 'barely adequate' parts from GM's 'cut-costs-at-ALL-costs" era. | |

Jim that may just be a poor ground issue, or you may need to just replace the switches? The switches on my 91 work fine, however I have noticed one switch on my 93 needs replacing. | |

| You can feel that they are cheap, crappy switches. I haven't bothered to change them because it hasn't been important enough yet; certainly NOT because I'm lazy! | |
