Transmission Warranty - another option - ATRA

In doing some research, I stumbled across another transmission warranty that may be of interest to you:

The Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association (ATRA) "Golden Rule Warrany"

Quick summary:
1900 independent shops nationwide in USA and Canada.
12, 24 and 36 month warranties available.
If it breaks within the warranty, take it to any nearby ATRA shop and they'll fix it for you, and the bill goes to the original shop that rebuilt it.

One other option to look at is ATK / VEGE. Their warranty is here.

FYI - if you are buying a vehicle that has a warranty (from any company), BE SURE TO READ THE FINE PRINT of the warranty FOR THE VEHICLE YOU ARE BUYING. I just had a situation wherein the sellers were implying the transmission was still under warranty but the reality was that the trans warranty had expired two years ago. Don't get fooled. Read the fine print.
