Roadmaster Wagon Bumper Swap To Caprice Bumper with pics

Wanted to post this up to share how the swap went. Also have a few pics. Bumper cover has 3 7mm screw on either side in the wheel wells. 2 very hard to reach 10 mm screws on the upper inner side of the cover. 2 7mm screw underneath as well. The Support has 8 washers attaching it to the frame horns, 4 on either side. 1/2 inch iirc. Heres a few pics, decided to go with the oldmsmobile custom cruiser bumper. Have some more adjustments to get her to fit a little better we lost the light for the day. Will update the thread with more pics once bumper is on properly and then painted.

Thanx this hood is what made me go for the occ bumper. And thanx again for making this all possible lol! I just gotta do a little more work to her, couple rotted out screws preventing me from bolting the bumper all the way on. I got 4 snap bolts on tho and one litte screw on either side. the damn 10mm screw on the upper inside was a pita

i knew the bolts where the bumper meets the fender would be a pain

What do you suggest is the easiest way to get those bolts back up there? Jack the car up maybe?

i would have to look at mine it has been awhile.

yessir! I was just too anxious to post these i couldnt wait until tomorrow lol! I didnt plan for the swap to take that long but some of the screws gave me trouble. I cant wait to post daylight pics

Still have some adjusting to do to the support to get he bumper to sit perfect i am just waiting to install my fenders

find all these aftermarket hoods?I seen 1 used hood in my area in the last 5 years?

Yeah man thats the plan i wanna turn every bolt on this car before its all said and done. And as far as the hoods man you have to really search be willing to travel an pay shipping
