Sun load sensor replacement -- removing the defroster grill Empty
PostSubject: Sun load sensor replacement -- removing the defroster grill   Sun load sensor replacement -- removing the defroster grill Icon_minitimeSat Nov 29, 2014 9:43 am

I want to replace the sun load sensor in the grill. The FSM optimistically advises "Gently unsnap" as the factory-approved grill removal technique, without further exploring the implications of force applied to a piece of plastic that has lain exposed to the sun on the dash for the last 20 years.

Any tips from those that have gone before?

Grab the bars as close to the end as possible, you can also wedge something under the end and lever up, but put something under the pry tool to protect the dash.
